Interpreting the life work of Thomas A. Edison, his inventions and innovations, the museum interprets Edison through interactive exhibits while using more than 60 historic objects. The Edison Museum is the only museum west of the Mississippi River dedicated to the innovation and inventiveness of Thomas Alva Edison - America's Inventor.

The museum is housed in the historic Travis Street Substation building. We have more than 1,400 artifacts in our growing study collection and an expanding reference library. The museum is the only facility of it's kind west of the Mississippi River.
"Yesterday" section includes 1905 cylinder phonograph and nine major areas of Edison's achievement. "Today" section includes exhibition on fuels. "Tomorrow" area examines superconductivity, laser, and more.
