| Step One: Submission Policies |
Before you submit a business to our directory, please ensure that its content is suitable for inclusion. Acceptable content deals with Southeast Texas in either a direct or indirect manner. That is, all levels of businesses and services are welcome, from restaurants to non profit organizations. Unsuitable content includes not only pornographic, illegal, and otherwise illicit material, but also that which does not relate, at least in part, to the Southeast Texas regions or businesses.
Also keep in mind that we may delete or refuse to validate listings submitted by those who violate our policies in the following manners:
- Submitting their listing multiple times in the same or multiple categories;
- Submitting their listing in disguised manners or redirection forms;
- Submitting listings with mirrored or redundant content;
- Deliberately submitting listings to inappropriate or unrelated categories.
In the end, we reserve the right to refuse category suggestions, as we see fit, to maintain a high quality, family-oriented directory. |
| Step Two: Is Your Site Already Listed? |
To save both yourself and our staff's time and effort, please make sure that your business is not already listed. Click here to Search DigitalTexas.com for your business.
If you do find that your business is already in our database, but its description or other fields do not adequately represent it as you see fit, you will need to click on the "update this listing" button and submit the changes or additions opposed to adding it a new business listing. Please verify the category is correct, if not please review our categories and suggest a (one) category for your business or organization in the comments area. Additional categories may be added with an enhanced directory listing. (All updates will be verified by our staff.) |
| Step Three: Identify A Main Category |
We have taken great care to extensively categorize our site by topic and interest. As a result, we are confident that you can find a main category for your listing. Before you are ready to submit your site, you need to navigate to the category that best suits your business or organization and click on "Add a Listing to This Page". As previously mentioned, this can be done either by searching or browsing the directory. If you believe that we have overlooked a category, please feel free to suggest it.
Once you have reached the category that makes the most sense for your site, simply click the "Add a Listing to This Page" on the upper part of the category page. From here, you will be taken to a straightforward entry form where you will be asked to submit all of the site's relevant information. Free submissions allow you one category and includes business name, address, contact number, city, state and a email link. Enhanced Listing allow for a link to your website and additional privileges, depending on the package you choose.
